Oppo has quietly introduced the A6 Max in China, a mid-range smartphone designed to balance slim design, durability, and long battery life. Despite measuring just 7.7mm in thickness and weighing 198 grams, the device houses a 7,000mAh battery, one of the largest in its class. It supports 80W fast charging, capable of reaching 50% in just 24 minutes, offering users a balance of endurance and convenience.
At the front, the A6 Max features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 2800 × 1280 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and sharp detail. The screen reaches 1,600 nits peak brightness, ensuring visibility even in bright sunlight, and it remains responsive to touch even with wet hands. To enhance durability, Oppo has equipped it with Crystal Shield Glass, its in-house protection technology.
In terms of cameras, the phone offers a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, it sports a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome camera, providing solid imaging for everyday use. The device comes in two finishes: Streamer White with a glass back and Rock Mist Blue with a fiberglass back.
Performance is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. To maintain consistent performance during intensive use, Oppo has included a 5,200mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Connectivity is another strength, as the device incorporates the Oppo Shanhai Communication chip for enhanced signal stability, along with dual-band GPS, triple-band Beidou, NFC, and offline communication support.
The durability of the A6 Max sets it apart in the mid-range segment. The device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, meaning it is resistant to dust, immersion in water, and high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for challenging environments. It also passed SGS high-temperature operation certification, confirming reliability under extreme conditions. To complement its rugged nature, Oppo fitted the phone with extra-loud speakers, claimed to deliver up to 300% louder output, targeting outdoor users.
